Meet Douglas

Doug Lederman and his wife have lived in their home in Old Greenwich for the past 31 years, their son attending Greenwich public schools from the 3rd grade through high school.  Douglas has held his Broker’s license for almost 30 years and has “hung his shingle” at New England Land Company from the start of his real estate career.  After graduating from Columbia College (where he studied architecture and architectural history) and Columbia Law School, he began his practice in corporate, trusts and estates and real estate law at the Phillips Nizer firm in New York, later serving as General Counsel and Board Member of the Cancer Prevention Research Institute, where he also lead their acquisition and construction of offices and laboratories.

In representing both buyers and sellers in Greenwich, Douglas provides three decades of expertise in the local market and in successfully closing deals. He prides himself on his recognition of frequently hidden issues in property transfers, his abilities as a negotiator and his dedicated support of his clients through the complex process of buying or selling a home.

Additionally, Douglas and his wife, Audrey, have been principals of a home design and renovation consultation business, with well over 90 completed projects during their years in Greenwich.  He has a keen eye for the positive potential of properties, and also for potential pitfalls.  Truly a “full service” broker.
